Spring/Summer 2005 collection, Undercover, But Beautiful

In the Spring/Summer 2005 collection, Undercover, under the theme "But Beautiful II," paid tribute to Czech director Jan Švankmajer's surreal film *Alice*. The collection incorporated bizarre elements like internal organs, butterfly motifs, eyeballs, and spinning tops into the designs, capturing the twisted dreamscape of *Alice*.

The craftsmanship continued the brand's signature frayed edges, deconstruction, and intricate stitching techniques, creating a visually stunning experience that left viewers with a sense of wonder and imagination.

Notably, the red and blue plaid suit from this collection was worn by Takuya Kimura and featured multiple times in Japanese fashion magazines, further propelling the series to great popularity. The collection, led by Jun Takahashi, showcased the pinnacle of Undercover's craftsmanship, with standout details such as realistic teeth at the back of the neck, eyeball buttons on the cuffs, and distressed and torn elements throughout.
